Nature Walk - Invasive Plants at Gillette Castle

Learn about invasive plants - alien invaders that are taking over our native woodlands and crowding out local wildlife.  Master Gardeners from the University of Connecticut Extension office will be at Gillette Castle to answer questions about invasive plants from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the third Sunday of every month.  At 1:00 PM on the same days, there will also be a nature walk through the park surrounding Gillette Castle to learn how to identify many of the most common invasive plants.  The walk will include a tour and discussion of an active project to reduce the infestation of Chinese Wisteria at Gillette Castle.  Meet at the Visitors Center. Kids are welcome!
