The Figure in Light - Diane Aeschliman

This is a monitored class with emphasis on placing the model in an environment. Models will be varied, clothed and nude. Poses will run for three to four weeks. All levels and mediums welcome.  Sessions cost only $35 each for Members who pay in advance at the monthly rate.

Fees: for Members: $105 for September, $175 for October, $140 for November, $105 for December. Fee for Nonmembers: $115 for September, $185 for October, $150 for November, $115 for December. Walk in Fee (Members only): $45 for a full day; $25 for a half-day.

Instructor Bio: Diane Aeschliman studied drawing in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux Arts with Professor Jean LeFeuvre, and after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, she taught for 14 years as an Associate Professor at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. Diane is nationally recognized as a master portrait, landscape and still life artist, frequently working on commission, and has led a number of fellow painters on intensive working trips to Italy and Ireland. A recipient of dozens of awards, her paintings are in private and corporate collections here and abroad, as well as on display in several New England galleries. Among her many affiliations, Diane is a member of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists and the New England Plein Air Painters. The Lyme Art Association is fortunate that Diane is not only an instructor, but also the long-time monitor of our popular Monday sessions.
