Figure Painting - Diane Aeschliman

This class will introduce drawing from a clothed model to the newcomer and benefit the seasoned artist as well. The method used is based on Nicolaides’ book, “The Natural Way to Draw,” and Diane’s 40+ year practice of using gesture drawing as the under-pinning of accurate, dynamic drawing. This method evolves into tonal drawing, which observes and uses the power of light on form, and into the exploration of mark-making and using line to define texture. There will be a mix of short and long poses. Artists of all levels will find this class fun and non-intimidating!
