U.S. Rep Joseph Courtney Seeking Social Media Input From Constituents

The Second District Democrat is asking his Facebook and Twitter followers for their thoughts and ideas on what Congress should be doing right now and will share some of them on Youtube later this week.

U.S. Rep. Joseph Courtney, (D-2nd District), is leveraging social media to interact with his constituents.

Courtney on Tuesday posted to his Facebook page asking his followers for input on what Congress should be tackling right now and said he'll share some of those questions and thoughts in a Youtube video later this week.

"There is a lot on Congress’s plate right now. What’s on your mind today?" Courtney wrote. He said he'll take questions on both his Facebook page and his Twitter account.

Some of the more than 100 comments on his Facebook page so far range from questions about the conflict in Syria to comments on spending cuts and gun control.

How about you? What do you think of the job Congress is doing right now and what issues would you like to see lawmakers like Courtney tackling? Tell us in the comments!

I wondered that myself when I looked at it, then noticed that lots of our local farmers marketsRead More aren't on the map. When I dug a little deeper, I noticed that all the markets the state lists are "self-reported" in other words, markets have to let the state know and then they're added.
