Troop F Police Blotter — Arrests Ending Jan. 20

Here is the round-up of arrests, investigations and police incidents from Old Lyme and the surrounding region.

Old Lyme

Jan. 15

Kimberly Tirado, 30, 144 Mile Creek Road, Old Lyme, was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor, carrying a dangerous weapon, second-degree criminal mischief, interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct after police investigated a dispute at her home which became physical. Tirado is due in New London Superior Court on Jan. 16.

Jan. 19

Janet Cushing, 56, 22 Winston Road, East Lyme, was charged with four counts of a failure to drive in the proper lane, four counts of a failure to drive upon the right, operating under the influence and disobeying the signal of an officer after police said she was driving erratically on I-95 in Old Lyme on Jan. 19. Cushing failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody on a $500 bond. Cushign is due in New London Superior Court on Jan. 31.

Haddam


Jan. 14

Ami Martin, 43, Portland Court, Portland, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident on Park Road in Haddam on Nov. 20. Martin is due in Middlesex Superior Court on Jan. 21.

Jan. 15

Jon Lyons, 52, and Marcia Carolyne Lyons, 51, both of 39 Rutty Lane, Haddam, were both charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to their home for a report of a disturbance on Jan. 15. Jon Lyons was held on a $500 bond and Marcia Lyons was held on a $1,500 bond. Both were due in Middlesex Superior Court on Jan. 16.

Police are investigating a reported burglary on Skunk Misery Road in Haddam. On Jan. 15, between the hours of 7:35 a.m. and 4:15 p.m., someone broke through a basement window and stole jewelry, a white iPad 2 and a blue Acer laptop. The case is under investigation.

Killingworth

Jan. 16

State police are investigating a residential burglary at 25 North Chestnut Hill Road in Killingworth. Someone broke in to a home between 12:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Jan. 16 and stole two televisions and an iPod docking station. The items were valued at $1,500. The case is under investigation.

Middletown

Jan. 14

Two students at Vinal Technical High School were issued juvenile summons on Jan. 14 after police said one was caught selling marijuana to the other. Parents were contacted and came to the school.

Clinton

Jan. 19

Richard Gallagher, 50, P.O. Box 283, Clinton, was charged with reckless driving and operating under the influence after police said he was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed while nearly striking several other vehicles on I-95 north between exits 61 and 62 in Madison on Jan. 19. Gallagher was pulled over in Clinton and held on a $500 bond. He was due in New Haven Superior Court on Jan. 19.

Chester

Jan. 14

The Chester Resident Trooper's Office is investigating a complaint of stolen money from a cash donation box at a manufacturing facility on Inspiration Lane on Jan. 14. Police are investigating and have retrieved evidence from the scene.

Westbrook

Jan. 14 

Hugh F. Currie, 65, 76 West Wharf Road, Madison, was charged with operating under the influence, a failure to drive at a reasonable distance and not having proper insurance after police pulled him over on the Boston Post on Jan. 14. Currie was released and is due in Middlesex Superior Court on Feb. 4.

Police are investigating an incident of a smashed window on the west side of Scranton Financial Group, 1921 Boston Post Road, in Westbrook. The incident was reported on Jan. 13 and filed on Jan. 14.

Jan. 15

A juvenile was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, second-degree strangulation and first-degree unlawful restraint after police responded to an incident on Boston Post Road in Westbrook on Jan. 15. Police said the juvenile had strangled his mother. He was taken into custody and held on a $1,500 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Hartford Juvenile Court on Jan. 16.

Jan. 19

David Deloge, 27, 367 Doric Ave., Cranston, R.I., was charged with reckless driving and operating under the influence after police said he was clocked going 92 mph in a 65 mph zone on Jan. 19. Deloge is due in Middlesex Superior Court on Jan. 21.

Deep River

Jan. 14

Two juveniles at Valley Regional High School in Deep River were issued juvenile summons after police said they were caught during a prescription drug transaction on Jan. 14. The juveniles are due in Middlesex Superior Court on Jan. 29.

Jan. 17

Two juveniles were charged with possession of marijuana, and one was charged with selling marijuana, after police responded to Valley Regional High School on Jan. 17. The school administration contacted the police. Both are due in Middlesex Juvenile Court on Jan. 29.

Stephen C. Deluca, 43, 23 Sylvan St., Groton, was charged with threatening, disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer after police responded to a report of a verbal domestic disturbance at Barn Road in Deep River on Jan. 17. Deluca was held on a $75,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Jan. 21.

Old Saybrook

Jan. 18

Michael Morgillo, 26, 31 Glemby St., Hamden, was charged with reckless driving and operating with a suspended license after police said he was clocked him going 93 mph in a 65 mph zone. Morgillo was held on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Jan. 30.

Jan. 20

Isaac Duncan, 29, 142 Squire St., New London, was charged with reckless driving greater than 85 mph and operating with a suspede license after police said he was pulled over going northbound on Gov. John Davis Lodge Turnpike in Old Saybrook on Jan. 20. Duncan was held on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex Superior Court on Jan. 30.
