State Police Investigate Bank Robbery in Killingworth

Investigators are searching for a suspect who walked into the TD Bank on Route 81 Friday and left with an undetermined amount of cash.

State Police are investigating another bank robbery at the TD Bank on Route 81 in Killingworth.

It happened around 1:15 p.m. on Friday.

According to Sgt. Sal Calvo, the suspect calmly walked into the bank at 184 Route 81, handed a teller a note and walked out of the bank with an undetermined amount of cash.

"The suspect is a white male. He was wearing a baseball hat and sunglasses and he was about 5-foot-9," Calvo said.

It's not clear if the robbery suspect had a weapon.

A State Police K-9 was brought in to track the suspect but police have not found him. Investigators remained at the scene Friday afternoon to interview witnesses and bank employees.

Three months ago, the same TD Bank location was robbed by two men with the help of a woman. All three have since been arrested.

Anyone with information about the latest robbery should contact State Police at 860-399-2100.

I wondered that myself when I looked at it, then noticed that lots of our local farmers marketsRead More aren't on the map. When I dug a little deeper, I noticed that all the markets the state lists are "self-reported" in other words, markets have to let the state know and then they're added.

As a parent of 2 children that attend NCS, I do not think the elementary school is the best place toRead More relocate Coastal Connection to. I feel that beyond my concerns, my children may feel threatened or uncomfortable in a school with kids that are so much older than they are. It just doesn't seem like this would be the best decision for any of the children that would be affected by this change.
