Police Blotter: Arrests for Old Lyme, East Lyme

Old Lyme police are investigating a report that a woman's driver's license was removed from her purse by another party on November 13. The incident reportedly took place at Mile Creek Road in Old Lyme.

Roby R. Royster, 38, of 58 Giants Neck Road in East Lyme was arrested after police were called by a neighbor to respond to reports of a fight between multiple male and female parties at that location. According to the police report, the fight occurred between one man and one woman. The accused turned himself in to Troop E in Montville, where he was processed by an East Lyme Police Officer. No charges were listed in the arrest report.

Ryan M. O'Rourke, 36, of 83 Rogers Lake Trail, Old Lyme, was charged with drinking while operating a motor vehicle and for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Police made the arrest after flagging his car as a "suspicious vehicle" on Woodcrest Drive in Old Lyme. Bond was set at $500.

November 18, 2012

Richard M. Ryan, 23, of 2 Bittersweet Lane, Old Lyme, was charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree (assault of an elderly person, 60 years of age or older), after police were called to respond to a report of a physical altercation at the Ryan residence. According to the police report, Richard G. Ryan (Richard M. Ryan's father) told police he had been assaulted by his son. Bond was set at $500.
