[UPDATE] No Injuries Reported From Downed Plane At Waterford Beach

Investigation underway after small plane makes reported emergency landing on shoreline

 

Emergency responders are on the scene at Waterford Beach where a small plane came down in a marshy area of .

The is not saying at this time whether the plane crashed or did an emergency landing, though the initial report is that the plane made a landing.

"I’m told a small, single-seater aircraft landed/crashed in a marshy area," said Kevin Nursick, a spokesperson for Connecticut's Department of Transportation. "The pilot is OK, and no injuries were involved. I’m also told the aircraft was a 'kit' aircraft and was assembled/built by the pilot."

The beach was briefly closed but has since been reopened.

I wondered that myself when I looked at it, then noticed that lots of our local farmers marketsRead More aren't on the map. When I dug a little deeper, I noticed that all the markets the state lists are "self-reported" in other words, markets have to let the state know and then they're added.
