East Lyme Men Charged in Statewide Child Pornography Dragnet

The residents are among 18 suspects who were arrested by Connecticut State Police this week.


A pair of East Lyme men is facing child pornography charges — the result of a statewide Connecticut State Police investigation.

According to state police, detectives from the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit, assisted by members of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Sex Offenders Unit, conducted an arrest warrant sweep across the state on Thursday, March 27. 

"After several lengthy and thorough investigations, 18 people from across the state were arrested," state police said in a press release. The Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Investigations Unit is also the command for Connecticut’s Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force.

Arrested were Brian Faford, 23, and Donald Faford, 57, both of 47 Charter Oak Dr. Each faces a felony charge of first-degree possession of child pornography, according to police.

Both arrests stem from a Nov. 16, 2010 incident, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.

Both were released after posting $75,000 each. They are scheduled to appear April 8 in state Superior Court in New London, according to the Judicial Branch.
