Have you ever wondered how meteorologists predict the weather? Now's your chance to find out. NBC Connecticut meteorologists are taking their show on the road and coming to East Lyme High School at 7 p.m. tonight.
The event includes a presentation on storm preparedness and a discussion of the station's three dual polarization radars which cover the state to provide real time "Exact Tract" forecast technology.
The station's meteorologists will give the audience a behind-the-scenes look at how they prepare weather forecasts and audience members will have the chance to give their own weather forecast against the "green wall." There will be trivia and prizes to add to the fun and you'll have a chance to meet the meteorologists and ask them questions.
The NBC Connecticut Weather Experience roadshow was launched for the first time in October. East Lyme High School, 30 Chesterfield Road in East Lyme is its third stop to date. The event is free and open to everyone.
