First Funerals for Sandy Hook Victims Set for Monday, Tuesday

Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home in Fairfield will hold services for Noah Pozner, 6, at 1 p.m., Honan Funeral Home in Newtown will hold services for Jack Pinto.

 

The first funerals will be held for victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting today.

Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, Fairfield, will hold services at 1 p.m. for Noah Pozner, 6. Burial is set to follow at B'nai Israel Cemetery, Monroe.

Also at 1 p.m. Monday, a funeral for Jack Pinto, 6, is set for Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown, followed by burial in Newtown Village Cemetery, Newtown.

A wake is scheduled for on Monday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. and evening from 6-8 p.m., at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home in Monroe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown at 10 a.m., with burial to follow at St. John's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Darien.

On Tuesday, a noon service is set for Jessica Rekos, 6, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, followed by burial in St. Rose Cemetery, Newtown.

A wake for Chase Michael Anthony Kowalski, 7, is scheduled for 2-6 p.m. at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, on Wednesday, Dec. 19. Prayer vigils will be held throughout the afternoon. Chase's family would like to request the public visitation end at 5:45 to allow them a brief period of privacy.
