Oysters And Wine Celebrated At Flanders Fish

Timeless theme of fine food and wine celebrated at Flanders Fish

A presentation by the Noank Aquaculture Cooperative on harvesting oysters from the clean waters of the Mystic River will be just one highlight of the Flanders Fish Market Annual Oyster And Wine Dinner on March 7th.  The sumptuous five-course meal includes a raw bar selection, bacon-wrapped oyster brochettes, and sautéed oysters over homemade black pepper fettuccine.

Chefs Tim Shelburn and Jeff Taylor will conduct live cooking demonstrations and provide recipes.  A representative from Allan S. Goodman, Inc. will describe the wine pairings: Côtes du Rhône, Muscadet, Chenin Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Oyster And Wine Dinner is Thursday, March 7, from 6-9 pm at the Flanders Fish Market & Restaurant, 22 Chesterfield Road in East Lyme. Call 860.739.8866 or visit flandersfish.com for information (reservations required).
