School Bus Routes for Old Lyme and Lyme

It's nearly time for kids to go back to school. So what time will you have to set your alarm to make sure everyone gets on the bus in Old Lyme and Lyme?

The M&J Bus company has posted the schedule for School District Region 18 online. The times are estimates, so please try to make sure the kids are ready and waiting five minutes early.

In a letter to parents, the bus company noted that the schedule is based on full student ridership and that times may be adjusted to ensure that kids aren't arriving at school too early and that some stops eliminated after the first couple of weeks once the company knows exactly how many children are riding the bus. 

Make sure someone is there to meet young children returning home on the bus. Students in kindergarten through second grade at Lyme Consolidated School and pre-K through second grade at Mile Creek School must be met otherwise the child will be brought to the Board of Education office at the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School.

Let the driver know in writing who may be allowed to pick up your child at the bus stop if it is someone other than a parent or older sibling. The  bus company will keep the note on file for future reference. If you have any questions, please call Sheila at M&J's Old Lyme terminal at 860-434-1052.
