Old Lyme Friends of the Library are holding a "Rockin' '50s Bookworm Ball" on Saturday.

Pull out that poodle skirt, polish up those saddle shoes, and prepare to swing, bop, and Lindy Hop!

Old Lyme's Friends of the Library will be holding its "Rockin’ '50s Bookworm Ball" at Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, 2 Bridge Street in Old Saybrook this Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

There will be light fare and a cash bar, silent and live auctions, and of course, dancing! Fifties attire is strongly encouraged. Tickets, which are $50, are available at the library or online.

And if you need a babysitter, Lymes Youth Service Bureau can help you out! For $15 per child, you can drop off your kids from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at LYSB, 59 Lyme Street in Old Lyme on the night of the dance and rest assured that the experienced babysitters at LOL Girl Scout Troop will keep everyone entertained.
