It's that time of year again!

January is the month for testing out those New Year’s resolutions, but I don’t really like the whole resolution approach.

Well, it’s that time of year again. January is the month for testing out those New Year’s resolutions.  To be honest with you, I don’t really like the whole resolution approach. Wasn’t it Einstein who said doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is a sure sign of insanity? If that’s true, I find it ironic that people set similar goals year after year, and yet fail to reach those goals year after year. If you want make some changes, which is what resolutions are all about, you should focus on changing your mindset. You have to determine how committed you are to living a lifestyle of health. After all, it takes dedication and hard work to exercise consistently, make healthy food choices most of the time and get adequate sleep each night. And these are just some of the behaviors that define wellness. But here’s the thing—when you decide that revamping your lifestyle is more important than reaching some short-term goal for 2013, New Year’s resolutions will become a thing of the past!  If you need help, our team of personal trainers, nutritionist and dietitian here at Anytime Fitness are here for you.

I wondered that myself when I looked at it, then noticed that lots of our local farmers marketsRead More aren't on the map. When I dug a little deeper, I noticed that all the markets the state lists are "self-reported" in other words, markets have to let the state know and then they're added.

As a parent of 2 children that attend NCS, I do not think the elementary school is the best place toRead More relocate Coastal Connection to. I feel that beyond my concerns, my children may feel threatened or uncomfortable in a school with kids that are so much older than they are. It just doesn't seem like this would be the best decision for any of the children that would be affected by this change.
