The Niantic Light Parade (December 7 at 6:30 on Main Street in Niantic) promises some of the best decorated floats in Connecticut along with music and fun. But one float aims to light up the holiday season for people in need: Care & Share's Fill a Float invites parade spectators to bring a non-perishable food item and add it to the float as it passes by.
One of the parade’s traditions, Care & Share’s Fill-a-Float entry is a lit-up, tractor-drawn cart created and managed by Pro Tek Auto, on Main Street in Niantic.
This year, the Fill-a-Float cart will be parked outside of Pro Tek Auto on Main street after Thanksgiving so that people may get a head start on filling it up with donations the week before the Parade.
