Tonight's the Night!

New London — The 8th annual Homeless to Hopeful benefit dance is from 7 to 11 tonight at the Port ‘n’ Starboard at Ocean Beach Park.

We’ll have raffles and a silent auction. The Rock ‘n’ Soul Revue will set your toes tapping. And there will be light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors, students and active military.

You can buy tickets at the door or at the following locations:

**People’s United Bank (716 Broad Ext., Waterford)

**Liberty Bank (165 Boston Post Road, Waterford)

**Covenant Shelter of NL (42 Jay Street, NL)

**NL Homeless Hospitality Center (19 Jay Street, NL)

All proceeds go towards the efforts of the Covenant Shelter of New London and the New London Homeless Hospitality Center to end homelessness in Southeastern Connecticut.

As a parent of 2 children that attend NCS, I do not think the elementary school is the best place toRead More relocate Coastal Connection to. I feel that beyond my concerns, my children may feel threatened or uncomfortable in a school with kids that are so much older than they are. It just doesn't seem like this would be the best decision for any of the children that would be affected by this change.
