The Town of East Lyme encourages residents to be safe while cooking at summer barbecues this summer, so they've put together a few worthwhile tips on using gas grills.
Here's what the town's website recommends:
- Always grill outside, away from anything that might catch fire
- Propane hoses could leak, so checking for bubbles and cracks is always a good idea
- Make sure the lid is open when lighting the grill
