What's In Store For Old Lyme's Sound View?

An informational meeting on the improvements planned for Sound View will be held tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Shoreline Community Center on Hartford Avenue in Old Lyme.

If you're curious about what the town has in mind for the Sound View beach, you'll be able to get all your questions answered at tonight's informational meeting at Shoreline Community Center on Hartford Avenue.

The town has received a grant to cover 80 percent of the cost of redoing the parking, installing permanent bathrooms, and creating a new park with a gazebo and a bike path connecting the beach area to local public transportation bus routes.

Tonight's meeting will go over the grant process. Town officials, along with officials from the Connecticut Department of Transportation and representatives from the Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments will be on hand to answer questions.
