Today it houses 9 luxurious and unique guest rooms, each with private bath. There is also a new restaurant, the Chestnut Grille, which serves superb entrees prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

    An Irish American pub and restaurant, The Black Sheep has become a popular place to go for good atmosphere with someMore bangers and mash or some lamb shepherds pie with a potato parsnip crust. According to manager Jason Koenighaus, it is the only place around doing the Shepherds Pie with lamb.</p> <p>Located right downtown, in summer one will find patrons crowding the tables in the enclosed outdoor seating area, but in winter customers enjoy the cozy fireplace. It is like walking into a deep cavern with delicious smells and a high-end decor.</p> <p>More of a hangout for adults, Wednesday night is karaoke from 9:30 to 12:30 and Thursday night is wine night.</p> <p>The Black Sheep is also happy to sponsor events for local charities.</p>

    Not only does Bobby D's say it has the best pizza in town, it guarantees it.  It has its own special sweet sauceMore and, in order to provide the freshest ingredients, grows its own vegetables in the summer. If you want to hang out and watch a game, Bobby D's has a 62-inch wide-screen TV. It also sell slices for those who just want a snack.

    The Zagat-rated Boom Restaurant is a great place to satisfy your desire for exceptional fine cuisine. The ambiance isMore quiet and elegant, and the food is delicious. </p> <p>This Boom is owner Jean Fuller Gest's third foray into opening a Boom restaurant. Opened in 2008, it was preceded in 2002 by the seasonal Boom at Pilot's Point in Westbrook.</p> <p>The cuisine is 'Creative American' with many items sourced from local purveyors. Ingredients are natural and with everything freshly made to order, meals can be easily customized.</p> <p>Of note is the Lobster Ravioli, as well as the well-known local Stonington Scallops, pan seared with an orange ginger buerre blanc.</p> <p>Desserts are created by Francis Baldwin, who trained in Paris with Le Notre. One such treat is a flourless chocolate torte made with Calabeaut Belgian chocolate.</p> <p> </p>
